The possibility to transition from a data file back to a new procedure is a truly unique feature only found in NOVA! The most common experimental flow in any research topic involves the acquisition of data according to a procedure. It it often necessary to finetune the properties or desirable to add data analysis or data handling commands in order to facilitate or automate the treatment of the measured data.

In NOVA, it is possible to transition from any original or modified data file to a new procedure, which will include all the modifications or additions. This greatly facilitates the acquisition of data and the elaboration of automated procedures.

For example, it is possible to carry out a cyclic voltammetry measurement and process the data by adding a smoothing command and a peak search command. From this modified set of data it is possible to transition to a new procedure that will include the added commands and execute them automatically when the new procedure is executed.
